It may seen like a childhood cartoon to all boys, but this movie is one which really kickass! It's simply cool and awesome! One should see the costumes used in the show as they are simply cool... The new age laser guns and the slick black leather suits! =P Characters like Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes have great martial and sword play skills. Storm Shadow, dressed in white in the show was really cool, even though he was the bad guys side.

The girl was simply in awe throughout the whole show, so it was a thumbs up for the how! Go catch it! =)

Ever since I watched Ice Age 1 and 2 on dvd with the girl, I kinda love the series. The characters are so funny and cute, although some can be irritating at times like Scrat the squirrel .

To continue the journey, I should catch the third episode too. No doubt about that. And to mark a remarkable milestone, we actually caught the 3D version of the movie! Haa. Both of us have yet to catch a 3D show before in theaters. It was really cool wearing the 3D specs to watch the film.

The movie was really funny and nice, compared to the previous two. Properly it's because there are dinosaurs in the film and the 3 cute little baby T-Rex, which the girl claimed they reminded her of Huey, Dewy and Louie! Oh well, they are ducklings! Not dinosaurs! =P My favourite character was Sid the lazy, brainless, low class sloth. The girl claimed he was irritating but i find him really hilarious and that he actually makes a good friend! Caring and kind. And in this episode, we have 2 new characters in the show, Scrat's girlfriend, Scrattle and Manny and Ellie's new born child, Peach! Yea, it's one big family now. =)

Both of us really had a good laugh and that we were like 2 overage children. Haha...

*Revenge of the Fallen*

The Long awaited movie which I was waiting for is finally here! Transformers 2; Revenge of The Fallen. It was with much difficulty which I finally managed to get myself a pair of tickets on the first few days in which the movie was screened. Every theater and every time slots were almost taken up! However, that doesn't stopped me from wanting to catch the movie in the first week of the screening, with school holidays running.

It was still a big hit due to the same robots from part one, as well as some new cool and "big" ones this time round. Only that the faces of the robots could have been featured more! All time favourite, Optimus Prime almost got everyone cheated, where most of us would have really thought would he be really dead? Bumblebee was cute as ever and more powerful this time round! New robots like Jetfire, Arcee, devastator(Constructicons) and a pair of twin autobots, Skids and Mudflap were all featured. The twins were really funny.

Overall, I did enjoyed the movie, with the girl and myself are both transformers fans! It was really a cool movie and I can't wait for part 3 to be out! (Hopefully there will one and I believe there will be one) Go catch it, all you transformers fans. Time to roll out...

Caught one of the cool movies with my girl some time back. Should catch it if you are a terminator or an action-packed movie fan.

Some of the cool quotes:

"I knew it was coming. I thought I knew our enemy. But I don't know if we can win this war. We are outnumbered by machines."

"If we stay this course we are dead! We are all dead!"

Need for speed... Need for power... and that's Fast and Furious. Just caught the latest Fast and Furious 4 movie with the girl over the long break we had. Again, it was great with all the mod cars and thrilling speed that really made me go in awe! I have been following up on every part of the Fast and Furious series. Fast cars, hot babes that will drive guys out of their seats! Cars like the Mitsubishi Evo, Nissan Skyline, Fairlady, Torino, Mustang etc... are the common "guests" in the series. Although it was a movie made specially for all the guy audience out there, but I'm sure there are ladies who are interested in racing cars too! Even though she may not have a license, she could pick up a trick or two on being a supporter for a racer. =P But for guys, I'm sure there are many out there who like hot, adrenaline stuff, especially with all these hot machines.

Besides, "Who doesn't like fast cars and hot women?" =D

Caught the movie, Valkyrie over the weekend. I have always been a war movie fanatic ever since I was young. I don't know why, but it somehow got me really hyped up watching such shows. I can actually imagine me, myself in the scene!! Haha. Maybe I'm just daydreaming too much. =P

The controversial movie stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg and is based around a plot to assassinate Hitler. I would say he really did a great job again to pull off another great movie, ever since the Last Samurai, which is another war movie he acted in and him, as the leading actor.

One particular scene which I could hardly forget in the show would be the part on how his lieutenant, who is also his "runner", sacrificing himself to die before Tom Cruise, when they were both caught after the plot had failed. Such a loyal soldier. Such a loyal servant. It makes me wonder if there would be one in this present world. Would a soldier really sacrifice himself for his commander? It was really a sad ending to the show, which left the girl shedding some tears too...
One who have studied history would have known how Hitler died in the end. Nevertheless, it did not strike me that it was such a sad ending to it...

It is true that I am a Romance of the Three Kingdoms fan. I am so intrigued by the story and this time round, their movies. I would say that I have not missed out on most or in fact all of their movies made. Not to mention Red Cliff, which is such a significant part in the history. The movie, hosted by a big and well known cast such as Zhang Fengyi as Cao Cao, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai as Zhou Yu, Takeshi Kaneshiro as Zhuge Liang and Hu Jun as Zhao Zilong truely makes the movie standout, compared to other Romance movies. Most of the actors delivered their characters really well, injecting some humor into the whole show.

It was the Lord of the Rings which was a fantastic "war" epic movie which made me go crazy over it. Now, I was in awe with the Red Cliff, just like a chinese version of it. And in case, you all do not know who's my favourite character in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it would have to be none other than Zhao Yun aka Zilong. =)

Synopsis:

The story of RED CLIFF takes place in 208 AD in China during the Han Dynasty. Despite the presence of an emperor, Han Xiandi, China was then divided into many warring states.

The ambitious Prime Minister Cao Cao, by using the Emperor as his puppet, waged war on a kingdom in the west, Xu, ruled by the emperor’s uncle, Liu Bei. Cao Cao’s ultimate goal was to wipe out all the kingdoms and install himself as Emperor to a unified China. Liu Bei sent his military advisor Zhuge Liang as an envoy to the Wu Kingdom in the south, trying to persuade its ruler Sun Quan into joining forces. There he met Wu’s Viceroy Zhou Yu, and the two became friends amidst this uneasy alliance.

Enraged to learn that the two kingdoms have become allies, Cao Cao sent an army of eight hundred thousand soldiers and two thousand ships down south, hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Cao Cao’s army set up camp at Crow Forest, across the Yangtze River from Red Cliff, where the allies were stationed.

With the food supply running short, and the army vastly outnumbered by Cao Cao’s, the allies seemed doomed. Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang had to rely on their combined wisdom to turn the tide of battle. Numerous battles of wits and forces, on land and on water, eventually culminated into the most famous battle in Chinese history, where two thousand ships were burned, and the course of China’s history was changed forever. That was the Battle of Red Cliff.
